Date Ideas

If you are living in Rexburg and a college student you probably have almost run out of date ideas. Here is a a list of fun date ideas to do in or around Rexburg. Also find some great dating tips here.

• Do a group date and make dinner together
• Go feed the ducks at the Nature Park
• Play games out in the Sand Dunes
• Go to the ice caves ( four wheel drive required)
• Go sledding and come back and have hot chocolate
• Miniature Golfing
• Hike “R” Mountain
• Go Fishing
• Make home made pizzas ( For fun you can tie your left hind to your dates right, and you can only use your free hands to make the pizza)
• Make ice cream
• Bowling
• If you can go horseback riding
• Go on a hike
• Do a culture theme date
• If it is bad weather have a picnic inside
• Go on a picture scavenger hunt
• Iron Chef Date ( This is a group date, each couple gets an amount of money and has to make a meal with it. Each couple tastes everyones meals and votes on the winner.
• Demolition derby (St. Anthony)
• Go for a drive to Idaho Falls and go ice skating
• Go to the Zoo in Idaho Falls
• Go to Lava Hot Springs (1.5 hours away)
• Go to Green Canyon
• Fly a kite and have a picnic
• Civil Defense Caves
• Dutch oven or Tin foil dinners
• Clay pigeon Shooting
• Play Human Clue
• Have a board game night
• Snow boarding at Kelly Canyon (Wed and Friday on $15)
• Country dancing or Swing dancing Wednesday night on campus only $1
• Latin dancing Friday nights only $1
• Get clay and try to sculpt each other
• Take your honey to the Rexburg Sammys and get ice cream
• Laser tag
• Canoeing down by Beaver Dick (Rent a canoe from the ORC for $15) This is one of the best dates!
• Ice blocking
• Make kites
• Paper air plane contest
• Paint balling
• Rock climbing
• Go to Mesa Falls
• Make cookies
• Service date
• Tie-dye t-shirts
• Float down the river with inner tubes
• Finger painting
• Play Bigger or Better (Each couple starts with something small—Then they go door to door in your neighborhood asking people to trade you for something bigger or better than the item you currently have. At the end of a specified amount of time, get back together and vote on the winning couple.)
• Go read children’s books on the third floor of the library
• Play twister
• Make a BYU-I commercial (make a 30 second commercial of why people should come to BYU-I)
• Visit Back Country Secrets to find something fun to do
• Play Frisbee Golf (There is a course at the Nature park or you can make your own)
• Make a snow sculpture
