BYU-I Do!
Some people who have not been at BYU-I for a while might wonder why people gave it the nick name "BYU-I Do". It got this nick name because people end up getting engaged so quick. For example my friend's roommate proposed to his new girlfriend 6 days after the first date! That is crazy! No wonder it got that nick name. Dating at BYU-Idaho can be really interesting. So is that way to fast to get engaged? Do you think people should date for a longer period of time? Leave a comment and tell us what you think.
Do girls who wants to serve a mission date a lot? returned missionaries get engadged really fast?

I personally would like to date someone for about 4-6 months before getting engaged with someone. the only exception is if we both received personal revelation that we needed to get engaged at that time. and that doesnt mean just saying you both feel good about it. i’m talking about receiving true personal revelation. Also, it’s always wise to see what other people have to say, especially those that are close to us. i would encourage both of you to talk to your parents and see what they have to say. but yes, in the end it is your choice whether to get engaged now or not.
I’ve been trying to figure that question out to. My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over 2 months and spend every moment together and we know we want to get engaged, but we’re worried that other people (mainly our families) will think we’re CRAZY to be getting engaged so soon. PLEASE, someone give me some insight.
